How To

This work-flow describes the process of operating the Seam Profile Tool for setting and changing the seam profiles of Stock parts.

 

 

OPEN THE TOOL

Do this ...

Open the Stock screen.
Click the Tools button.
Click the Seams button.

OPERATE FILTERS

Do this ...

Enter filter terms

 

Enter the desired filter terms in the Part Style, Size, and Component filter boxes to only show parts groups that match (or contain) all the filter terms.
Delete the text in a filter box to remove that filter.
Click the Clear button to remove all the filters

CONFIGURE PROFILES

Do this ...

Set seam profiles for parts

 

Select one or more part groups in the part grid.
Click the Select All button to select all parts currently contained in the grid, after filtering is applied.
Click the desired profile buttons in the SeamUp and SeamDn button groups.
Click the Apply button to save the changes.

 

Notes:

1.The graphic display only shows the first part you select, even if multiple parts are selected.
2.The green labels above and below the graphic illustration show the settings to select if you are setting the seam profiles on the Stock screen directly.
3.Any of the Base part styles will only have a Seam Up setting.
4.If you can select base parts and other parts with a Seam Dn,
a.Setting the Seam Up will apply to all selected parts,
b.Setting the Seam Dn will only apply to the parts with a lower seam.

Set seam heights

Click one ore more part sizes in the Seam Heights grid.
Enter the Seam Height for the selected group of sizes in the edit box above the grid.

 

Notes:

1.Setting the actual seam heights provides a more accurate depiction of the seams on the Quote screen and on Printouts.

Apply the changes

Click the Apply button to update the seam information.
Click the Close button when ready to return to the Stock screen.

 

Notes:

1.The Apply button works similar to the Replace button on the Stock screen.
2.The changes are not actually saved to the Stock file until you click the Save button on the Stock screen.
