The Home and Away feature is designed for nodes that are used on a laptop computer that is sometimes disconnected from a corporate network for field operation.

This option activates the Home & Away file synchronizing feature of STACK-IT, allowing for remote users to update the files on their laptop before they leave the office.

Setting Paths for Home and Away

On the Path screen, select the paths to use for the Home and Away locations. Click one of the buttons and set the path accordingly.

Typically the Home location is a server or shared drive location accessible when connected to the office network.

Typically the Away location is set to laptop hard drive.

NOTE: Remember to click the Set Default button at the bottom of the Path screen. This ensures that STACK-IT will retain the current Home and Away settings.
